Admiral George Dewey Artillery Shell Bank. A wooden bank in the form of an artillery shell. It has an image of Admiral George Dewey in the center with American Flags in the background. Size: 6.5'' H x 2.25" Diameter. The condition is good considering the age and designed us of the bank. There are some paint losses. Admiral Dewey (United States Navy) is best know for his victory at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War. He is also the only person in the history of the United States to have attained the rank of Admiral of the Navy, the most senior rank in the United States Navy. A special military decoration know as the Dewey Medal was struck in honor of the victory at Manila Bay.
