These old Adventure Comics are very desirable for Adventure Comics collectors. Adventure Comics #87 from August/September, 1943 featuring The Sandman. Other stories are Genius Jones, Starman, Shining Knight, Mike Gibbs and Manhunter. The book is one of the finest examples I have ever seen, however, I am a 49 year collector and not in the comic book business. This book is from my personal collection and one of my most cherished possessions but I do have to pay my mortgage as most do in these times. If you have the money to invest in this rare and beautiful book, then you will not only get a great return on your investment, but you will own a most desirable comic. The book must have been put away in a binder because it lays very flat, has gloss still on the front, a truely clean stunning appearance. It has such a great eye appeal, and has had no restoration. The weakness to the comic is that since it was probably in some type of binder, t are about 10 small staple holes running along about 1/4" from the binding. If you look closely at the scans, you can see a couple in the yellow area next to the A in Adventure. Inside, the books interior pages are complete and as clean as the covers. This book may be a CGC candidate for unrestored as it is or get a restorer to fix the staple marks throughout the book for a potential high grade. The read more
