FYI: Estate Fresh, we attended a nunber of 90+ year olds estate auctions and Tag Sales this season and came home with these wonderful treasures. We have some Great deal for you. You can save on gas, have it shipped to your door. And w else, can you get more than a one liner for a description. Possibly more photos than you care to look at. Some, even being a puzzle, you have to figure it out. This might fit nicely into your collection or Decor. Such a Deal, Way too good to throw away and I hope this finds a good home. Be sure to add me to your favorites list ! we have a BEAUTIFUL, medium size, Ironstone earthenware Pitcher/Jug with Lovely Aesthetic/Historical, Brown Transfer of what looks to be an Emperor and Native/Indian being served a Beverage by a Servant with Flowering Trees and Palms around them. Scene is in both sides. It has a simple, brown Greek Key geometric border and Lotus Flower design around rim and down sides of handle. Handle has a wrapped in-mold design. It is the same mold/shape as the Blue Transferware, Bird and Cherry Blossom Pitcher that is just about to go off on eBay. It is simply marked with a hand drawn circle with a line through it and a incised line on inside edge of foot. I had no luck in finding anything like it on eBay or in my books. Could be English or American made, Victorian Era, circa 1860-1910 era. It does have character, but is in VERY, VERY GOOD condition for its age and use. It has fine all over crazing. T is also a tight, very small spider hairline crack on bottom and a larger pop in the clay (un-glazed) on the interior/bottom. Has NO repairs, NO chips, NO nicks but does have some normal production issues, dimples in the glaze. Possibly once part of a larger ironstone Wash Set. This would be drinking water size. Measures approx. 7" high, 6" from spout to handle, about 5 1⁄4" across it round body, 3 1⁄2" across rim and 3 1⁄4" across foot. A ny information or questions are always welcomed.
