AF 492 O GA AUTO MAIL PICK-UP, PULLMAN GREEN, SPL MAIL POST TRACK, MAIL BAG & BOX 1941American Flyer 492 PULLMAN DARK GREEN automatic mail pick-up car with special mail- post track section, original mail bag, control button and box. Manufactured in 1941, the mail pick-up car has the 4-wheel truck with cast link couplers (both intact). Overall condition is VERY GOOD PLUS with numerous small scratches and nicks with limited paint loss, the worst is around and near the mail hook door opening (see photos). Front truck has slipped its rivet and is loose from frame but temp fix with small bolt (I’ve had at least five of these cars with the same front truck loose?). Car has the single electrical coil present for operation. Comes with the mail-post track section AND ORIGINAL RED MAIL BAG (one end loop gone). Original mail bags have a thicker girth than S Ga. bags. Includes original control button (first style Gilbert button with pressure clip for fastening wires. Includes VG box with clear stamped data. NOT TESTED, graded for appearance. Shipped within the US only.
