Rare to come by: African American 32" Playpal Companion Doll. She has a hard vinyl head and arms, and hard hollow type plastic torso and legs,feet. She has really nice rootbeer brown color sleep eyes, clear and no cloudiness, with soft lifelike upper lashes. She has wonderful coloring from head to toes. She has a cute little dimple on her chubby cheeks on her face 1 on each side, nice coloring on lips,eyebrows are nice. She's held up well all these many years. She's jointed at shoulders,hips. Her joints are attached well, I'm not sure if she's a walker or not, meaning when you hold her hand you can move her to walk with you. I haven't tried it. I'm selling her for a neighbor, I took the pictures at her house and examined the doll for condition. She is a little dusty,not too bad, you may notice some on her face and fingers in the photos it will wash off easily with some soap and water on a cloth , just need to wash her hair maybe or damp cloth with just water on it and wash over the hair to get dust off, it has some dust in it, it's easy to do. . Her hair is rooted and uncut, it still retains some of it's curl. It's a bit dry but still nice.(Also for fun changes besides her cute original hairstyle, there are wigs sz 18 or 19 for playpal dolls on ebay, they would look great on her, they come in black,brown,red,blonde all colors). If you decide to wash it. You might not get the curls back that she has left in her hair,if you do, I would suggest to wash it gently with cool water with a gentle shampoo and rinse with cool water, towel dry gently. then had a little condition throughout, comb it through gently or brush it, and let the conditioner dry on it. It helps the hair go back in style. Also if you have small doll curlers you can set the hair while still wet, don't use a curling iron or a hairdryer,let her hair dry naturally, can put her in front of fan,that helps speed up drying time.The doll is in very good condition, she has held up well all these years. She has a indentation on her chest on one side, it doesn't go through meaning it's not a hole. She's missing one of her fingers. There are indents in her heels in back, which is common in these dolls of this age, it doesn't hinder her feet in any way. She can stand alone, but I'd suggest a doll stand or lean her against something to giver her extra support so she doesn't get knocked over. I showed the flaws mentioned on the photos. I showed one picture of her shoulder because it has a factory indent on it, I don't think it was a error on their part it looks like it was meant to be that way,its not pushed in it has a factory manufactured look to it, its a defined neatly in a little square,it definetly doesn't look like it was from a dent to it. It doesn't hinder her movement or her shoulder to arm joint in any way. She's a more hollow plastic, her body is a hard plastic, as well as her arms and legs, her head is a hard vinyl. On one arm on the back of it is slight few white marks , not that outstanding looking,you can view it in her photos of her showing the back of her. It doesn't take away from her arm being in very good condition. She's dressed in a Tommy Hilfiger little girls dress,its in excellent condition, and a pair of little girl sandles in very good condition, she has a little barrette in her hair, and I'm sending her in the underpants shown in the photo, they are vintage and they are ruffled lace in the back. from smoke free environmentplease see the other auctions, we offer combined shipping Thank you for visiting. read more
