After A. Van Ostade - Peasant - Original Fine Art Print - Etching - Vintage Man With Pointed Hat - Etched by David Deuchar after Adrian Van Ostade. Etching on wove paper and printed in 1803 in Scotland. Sheet measures inches and is in good condition. Adriaen van Ostade (1610 – 1685) Painter and Etcher of The Golden Age best noted for his genre scenes in oils and etchings. According to Houbraken, he and his brother were pupils of Frans Hals and like him, spent most of their lives in Haarlem. He was the eldest son of Jan Hendrix Ostad, a weaver from the town of Ostade.
