AGATE AND AMETHYST SLICE - URUGUAY I bought this slice from the Uruguyan producer and like Brazilian Agates, these are becoming harder to source due to rising mining costs and global conditions. This example is a mixture of translucent smoky ' iris ' Agate with an Amethyt centre. There is also green banding due to other inclusions - possibly Celandite(?) and attractive orange colouration. Stunning combinations in this piece. Length 12.7 cm, thickness 1 cm, weight of slice 100 grams. Combine postal charges and save money (please read carefully) !
