AH3821N - Medieval Great Helmet I am selling an authentic copy of this medieval "Sugar Loaf" helmet in original size.This style of helmet was developed in the 12th century and worn by knights still in the 15th cent.The original from which our helmet was copied appears to be of French origin, as the brass "cross" lining ends in fleur-de-lis terminals. The helmet is supplied with an adjustable lining so that can it be fitted for almost all head sizes easily.See bottom photo. The helmet weighs 2.4 kgs.(5.5 lbs.) including all parts, it is made of 18 gauge steel trimmed in brass. It is 20 cms.(8 inches) wide and 25 cms.(10 inches) from neck to front and 34 cms (13.5 inches) high. The helmet stand, 45 cms (17") high with 25 cms x 25 cms base (10" x 10") made from polished hardwood (shown on bottom photo) can be shipped for £ 20.00 together with the helmet.
