Silver tan coat with matching trousers which belonged to Major General Daniel W. Jenkins. His uniform coat has Major General stars marked N.S.Meyer (CB), U.S. collar insignia, sterling Command Pilot wings marked Josten-Sterling (CB), and 9-place ribbon bars including Legion of Merit, Air Medal & Purple Heart. The left chest pocket has his Legion of Merit medal (unnamed) pinned on. General Jenkins served with the 95th Bomb Group/8th Air Force and was shot down over Belgium on August 12, 1943. He remained a Prisoner of War until April 29, 1945. When General Jenkins was shot down, he was wounded and received the Purple Heart. Biography included with the uniform.The uniform is in excellent condition with no mothing that I could find. The coat measures 20 1/2 inches across the back from armpit-to-armpit.
