Rare and hard to find US Air Force, Vietnam Era SRU-15/P Parachute Bailout Survival Sleeping Bag with some nomenclature and instruction tags present and readable. This is an original USAF issue Pilot bail out survival sleeping bag. This case was packed into seat type survival kits. It is compressed in a fiberglass housing. It has some of the original nomenclature. Inside the case is a sleeping bag with white on one side and OD green on the other. Nice early issue pilot survival sleeping bag. These are -Made for survival situations -Mummy bag shape -Mostly down filled -Nylon shell and lining -Olive Drab in color reversible to white -Large draw string hood with a cord lock, no zipper -Cold weather survival sleeping bag -Not your typical GI surplus bag -Vacuum packed bag in a fiberglass container -Originally made to be carried inside an aircraft for parachute bailout -Packaging measures about 14 X 14 inches Square by 1.5 inches thick -Bag is meant to be kept in packaging until needed -Complete Package Weight about: 6 lbs 5 oz
