You are bidding on a somewhat rare FM only wooden table radio from the 1950's. Its a tube set made by Airadio. An Airadio Model 3100 Combinette In FM. Haven't seen too many of these in the 15+ years I've been collecting radios. Radio was not functional when I received it because of a bad selenium rectifier and a number of other issues. I installed a modern diode and resistor for the rectifier and tried to fix the other problems but never got all the way there. This radio plays at very low volume. It's selective across the dial, just have to turn all the way up. Radio needs to be finished up - I've got too many other projects right now and this radio deserves the attention - it's clean and it looks nice. Tube are all tested, speaker appears to be good (no holes or rips). The finish is not original, nor is the speaker cloth but it looks very nice. All knobs and switches work fine, dial string and tuner work with no issues, dial scale glass is fine also. Radio measures about 14 inches wide by 11 inches tall by 7 inches or so deep. There was not a back present on this radio. Has jack for external speaker connection and FM antenna. Comes from a clean, non-smoking home. Nice winter project to finish or 1950's deco piece to just display. Either way, it's not a commonly found radio and deserves a good home. Shipping, packing and insurance read more
