Airbus A320-200Designed as a short/medium range narrow-body airliner to compete with the Boeing 737, the Airbus A320 was first flown on February 22nd, 1987. The A320 features side stick controllers and glass cockpit and was the world's first airliner to use use a digital fly-by-wire control system. Controversially, the software includes "flight envelope protection" to prevent the pilot from exceeding safe flight parameters. The highly successful design rapidly led to the development of the shortened-fuselage A318 and A319, and lengthened-fuselage A321 derivatives. More than 4,500 of the A320 family have been produced, almost all of which are still in active service. SkyMarks offers high density plastic moulded models in a large variety of scales and airlines. Many airlines available as SkyMarks models are not available from any other manufacturer. All models come with a display stand and while most models come with no landing gear to be properly displayed 'in-flight', some come with real rubber tires for added realism.
