This lovely covered soap dish is by Royal Patent Ironstone, Arthur J. Wilkinson, Late R. Alcock, Burslem, England. It is a 5x4" oval shape. Lid -- Lovely patterned handle w/ 2 leaves and decoration. Darkening somewhat, crazing throughout, no chips, cracks, or yellowing. Base -- Plain white drainer insert. Crazing,no discoloration, chips, cracks darkening or yellowing. Nice gloss on body. Some wear on rim. Only fault is one poor repair job on onve oval end. It is unknown as to what is under the repair as I never tried to uncover it, the repair became evident to me only in the last few years.
