A.J.Wilkinson Ltd, Tibetan Wisteria design by John Butler, c1925. Unusual octagonal stepped bowl, 6.5cm high, 14.5cm across at the top, 8cm across at the foot. Pattern number 8230. John Butler was the art director at A.J.Wilkinson from 1904~1930, Clarice Cliff was working for John Butler in his studio when this item was made. Very good condition, examples in this pattern are seldom seen on any shape. Need to sell some items as defining my collection, I started collecting pottery 20 years ago, and like many, collecting every factory as I liked to learn as much as I could, now I am only collecting items from my favourite factories so will start listing everything else to make space and funding for new additions.
