AKAI GX-4000D Reel to Reel Tape Deck Recorder/Player Description:I have had to relist this to give a better description and add a couple of pictures. You all probably think I am nuts with as many times as I have revised this, but the my friend whom I am selling this for has just found the capstan and has the designer nut for the top (we thought the capstan shaft was missing)!I have taken off the head cover and added a photo (photo #13) and of the storage post w you put the shaft on when not in use (photo #14 - center post of the 3 posts showing).I will screw the designer nut (photo #15) and capstan shaft (not pictured) onto the post it goes on (photo #16) when you want to play this at 7 1/2 ips. This is a beautiful Akai reel to reel. I am selling this for a friend and he says it is in full working order, he just does not use it anymore. He also said for his use of this he only used the 3 3/4 ips, he never needed the 7 1/2 ips. Since I know very little about electronics, I did just a search on google for Akai gx-4000d and t are several sites with all the specs. and information needed on this (I also found an online owners manual for this model).I also have 4 reels, one is a plastic Maxell with no tape on it, one is a plastic TDK professional LX-35/90B with tape on it but unsure of what the music is (in the box), and two are Maxell
