This a rare HTF earlier Al Oerter Impact painting print signed and numbered ..This I found in the metal with plexa-glass instead of glass frame 36.5 inches H X 24.5 inches W and weighs 5 lbs 13.5 oz. before shipping...There are two places the p-glass is cracked...This is a Giclee paper print with a 2 inch white boarder, numbered, and signed by Al Oerter, dated 1980...Al Oerter is one of only two track stars (Carl Lewis being the other) to win the same Olympic event four times in a row...He's the only one to set four consecutive Olympic records...1956 in Melborne, 1960 in Rome, 1964 in Tokyo, and 1968 in Mexico City...In 1980 Oerter was commissioned to create a piece of abstract art in support of the US Oympic Team...The commission required that he create the art utilizing an Olympic weight discus...Oerter has thrown over 500,000 times in his life and the Impact series represents that distant impact point...The results are dramtic , colorful, and freezes the moment of impact...The results was widely distributed in prints and his originials were sold successfully at the auction house , Christies in N.Y...The number is 0295/1984 on bottom corner left and on right bottom is Al Oerter real signature...This is a limited edition print...I e-mailed Mr Oerter and sent pictures to make sure he did sign and date this print...Mr Oerter said read more
