Save on shipping with multiple item purchases.Alan Bean was the 4th man to walk on the surface of the moon as the Lunar Module Pilot of Apollo 12, the 2nd lunar landing mission. On November 19, 1969, Capt. Bean and Commander Pete Conrad landed the Lunar Module Intrepid on the Ocean of Storms, just a few 100 feet from the unmanned Surveyor III spacecraft which made a soft landing a couple of years earlier. This pin-point landing established the ability of NASA to accurately target lunar landing missions, paving the way for later Apollo landings in more treacherous terrain.
