This is a beautiful item of studio pottery from Alan Clarke . Alan Clarke learned his skills in over thirty years at Poole Pottery where he was one of their leading designers. He has now set up his own studio in Stoke on Trent and is producing contemporary pieces which are individually made, meaning each piece is unique. This is a large tear drop dish. It measures 33cm in length with a depth of 5.5cm and its widest diameter of 16cm. It has his signature on the base with Alan Clarke Hand Painted Staffordshire England. It is in overall superb condition though the the extreme tip has broken off. It can barely be seen and impossible to photograph but the damage is reflected in the asking price. (Please note the white in the photo is flash and the small Made in UK sticker is removable)
