Alcoholics Anonymous SecondEdition 1st Printing 1955 Alcoholics Anonymous Publishing Company, New York, 1955, [1] + xxx + [1] + 573 + [1] pages. There is no writing in the book and there are no missing pages, the cover has moderate wear and soiling, the gilt lettering on the spine is intact, the binding is tight, and the text pages are slightly age-toned, foxed end pages, a dark stain on the page edge, and some small dog ears / dings. The dust jacket is a facsimile reproduction of the original.This is the first printing 1955 as indicated by the misspelling of the word really as "realy" in the sixth line of page xx, the reference "* A.A. is now composed of nearly6,000 groups (1955)" on the bottom of page 16 it states,and"Alcoholics Anonymous Publishing Company" on the copyright page - the only printing to ever state COMPANY.An excellent opportunity to obtain an increasingly harder to find first printing of the 2nd Edition, of which there were only 40,000 copies printed in 1955.A NOTE ABOUT THE FIRST THREE PRINTINGS OF THE 2nd EDITIONThe first three printing of the Second Edition did not indicate the printing number on the publisher's copyright page. Thisfirstprinting was dated 1955 on the Title page. On the reverse of the title page, the publisher name indicated"Alcoholics Anonymous Publishing Company." It was the only 2nd Edition
