This is a very unique ring! This is a 135 year old 14k gold band with a very large amethyst stone. This 14k gold ring was gifted to Elizabeth Watson, the wife of the famous Thomas A. Watson,(assistant to Alexander Graham Bell when inventing the telephone) from Alexander Graham Bell and in-scripted "August 3rd 1876" for his continued long hours of service leading up to the first telephone call EVER witnessed, which took place on Aug 3rd 1876.My Great, Great Aunt and Uncle from Oak Harbor Ohio vacationed in Pass-A-Grille Florida with Mrs Watson after the death of her husband (Thomas A Watson) in 1934. My aunt received the ring in the late 1940's.Good luck bidding on such a beautiful piece of history! We will ship WORLDWIDE!Email any questions.Check out my other items !
