Alexander is a 2004 epic historical drama film based on the life of the Macedonian Greek general and king Alexander the Great. It was directed by Oliver Stone, with Colin Farrell in the title role. The film was an original screenplay based in part on the book Alexander the Great, written in the 1970s by the University of Oxford historian Robin Lane Fox. Chronicling the life of the legendary king of Macedonia, Alexander (Colin Farrell) takes the throne following his father's assassination and proceeds to bring the world to heel in military campaigns across Greece, Persia and beyond, becoming one of the most famed generals in history.Presented is a costume from the movie "Alexander". This costume and others like it can be seen being worn by the famous general's soldiers throughout the film, from the battle in Guargemela to India and beyond. It consists of the helmet and chest armor. The main component is plastic on both pieces. The helmet features a thick plume of blond hair. The chest armor is also finished in a polished bronze color and features a central Medusa character on the chest. The bottom features leather fringe.
