This is a rare November 24th, 1924 playbill from the Original Broadway production of the FERENC MOLNAR comedy "THE GUARDSMAN" at the Booth Theatre in New York City. (The production opened October 13th, 1924 and ran for 248 performances.) ..... The play starred ALFRED LUNT as "The Actor" and LYNN FONTANNE as the "Actor's Wife" and the cast included DUDLEY DIGGES, HELEN WESTLEY, EDITH MEISER, PHILIP LOEB abd KATHRYN WILSON ..... CREDITS: Book by FERENC "Franz" MOLNAR; Translation by GRACE I. COLBRON and HANS BARTSCH; Sets designed by JO MIELZINER; Directed by PHILIP MOELLER; Produced by THE THEATRE GUILD ..... DETAILS: The 26 page playbill measures 5 1/4" X 7 3/4" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes and wonderful vintage advertising, but no cast photos or bios .....
