What a find! I'm so happy to share this item with my bidders. Most of us know Alice Leverett either personally or know of her outstanding reputation as a doll creator and seamstress! This wonderful presentation of NOUVEAUTE DE PARIS was created by Alice for a ticketed theme-dinner event, Evening at the Opera , at the 2007 UFDC convention held in Detroit. Attached to the card are delightful items for your reproduction or antique French Poupee appropriate for a fashion doll of 12" to 16". " Attached to the card are 12 items for your French fashion doll! At the top left corner of the card is a gold and black silk brocade purse. Directly beneath the purse is a folded silk hanky with delicate embroidery along the edges, and immediately to the right of the hanky is a dainty perfume bottle. Beneath the hanky is a pair of black lace fingerless gauntlet gloves. Moving to the center of the card at the top, is a "program" from the opera Carmen nestled beneath a gold-tone metal lorgnette and a folding fan. Directly beneath these items is a floral wreath or coronet with garland, made of dainty silk roses trimmed with faux pearls, to be worn on your poupee's head. Proceeding to the top right corner of the card is a rigid black silk fan decorted with roses and silk fringe, attached to a "faux" ebony stick. Below the fan to the left is a pair of read more
