This item is one Aliens vs. Predator (AVP) Collectors’ Chess Set. Made by SOTA Toys in 2004 it was one of a limited edition of 5000. It features painted resin and white metal pieces that are extremely detailed and accurate to the film AVP. The top of the playing surface is hinged and opens (you twist the Predator face to pop the top) to allow storage of your pieces in padded foam compartments. Size is 19" L 19" W 5" H. Comes with the original box which is slightly damaged (3 inch or so tear at the top and some dents). More like a playset with a fully sculpted board, the set recreates the temple-like setting in some of the major action sequences from the first Alien vs. Predator film. It is a beautiful display piece on its own. This set has: 8 Alien eggs (pawns), 2 Chestbursters (rooks), 2 Facehuggers (bishops), 2 Warrior Aliens (knights), 1 Queen Alien (Queen), 1 Large Warrior (King), 8 Predator Gloves (pawns) 2 Laser Guns (rooks), 2 Predator Wrist Knives (bishops), 2 Hunter Predators (knights), 1 Large Predator impaling an Alien head (Queen) and 1 Large Predator (King).
