15 "The Phantom" titles from Avon Books, authored by Lee Falk and a few others. This represents the total paperback reprints from the 1970s, the stories not seen in book form to date since the 1940s. Other authors include Basil Copper, Frank S. Shawn, Warren Shanahan, and Carson Bingham, but Lee Falk did most of the writing. Overall a cool piece of publishing, where early comic strips are adapted to novels, something usually only done with super-hero characters. 1: corner crease to front cover, spine creasing, faint stains to page edges. VG+ 2: slight lean and faint spine creasing, faint stains to page edges. VG+ 3: light spine creasing, faint stain to crown. VG+ 4: NF 5: NF 6: crease to both covers, else NF 7: bruise to crown and heel, else NF 8: rubbing, else NF 9: rubbing, tiny corner crease to front cover, else NF 10: rubbing and edgewear, date stamp to top page edgs.
