All Bisque Happy Baby is 4 1/2 " tall with painted eyes and open mouth.The bisque is not fired,it is painted high color.Coloring is beautiful and the only damage is a small chip by the arm (pic #4) There may be a dot of paint missing due to age and playwear but not severe as you can see in the pictures.Legs are jointed with elastic which is not original.The arms are spring jointed and I believe the legs were also at the time of manufactor.Note the elastic on the crotch.That is factory original and it must have been for the spring joints in the legs. Apparently it didn`t work as well for the legs. I have seen this b/f on German all bisque dolls when they were all in one piece and the arms being the only jointing. She has to be coaxed to sit well.Cute little fists and the arms hold a pose very well.Marked Germany on the back only. I have seen these dolls only with a pasifier on a ribbon around the neck which would still go well with the pretty dress. I believe that the material is taffeta.Maybe was white at one time but now has aged look,with pink cotton lace trim and matching bonnet. Attached shorter half slip and has a inspector tag inside in the seam. Large snap at the waist. The clothes are in ex. condition with no seam seperations or stains or dirt. All Happy Baby needs is a pair of booties and a diaper. read more
