This listing is for a charming collection of handwritten recipes in a homemade "cookbook" which is actually a sturdy pebble leather ledger that is about 8-1/2" x 10-1/2" x 3/4". I counted somewhere around 125 handwritten recipes inside, which includes some handwritten loose recipes and also some recipe cards tucked inside the book. This has the prior owner's/author's name inside.The collection is in good shape, with no loose pages, and the ledger is sturdy but you will find an occasional cooking stain inside and scuffs and wear on the covers. The penmanship is lovely. There are some blank pages inside which I presume the owner left intentionally to separate the sections and for future additions. I think this book probably dates from the 1940's-1950's. One newspaper clipping inside is dated 1954. Check out the photos for condition, and if you have any questions, just ask.
