All-Original, All-Bisque, Wire-Jointed Rabbit wearing original crocheted outfit and carrying original crocheted basket Made in Germany c.1910 2 1/4 inches / 5.7cms high This dear little all-bisque rabbit was made by the doll makers Hertwig & Co., Germany. He is in excellent condition, and such a charming little character. This is a superb example of the miniature animals produced by Hertwig & Co., which are very hard to find. Hertwig also produced these little miniatures in the form of rabbits, monkeys, frogs, bears, pigs, etc. Ref; 'Antique Doll Collector' April issue 2007, "Petite Pets; Anthropomorpized All-bisque Animals by Hertwig & Company".
