This is a super rare classic all-original complete Jaguar XKE (E Type) hardtop coupe #1358 HO scale slot car made by Aurora from 1963 through 1970. This scarce car is factory molded in black. Black slot cars were not popular back in the 1960's because they matched the track and were harder to see. Production rates were far less for black cars verses the more common tan, yellow, or white ones. Bob Beers rates this black version a 2 for rarity in his guide to Aurora slot cars. Also included are the car's original plastic clam shell case and cardboard label. The car and packaging are all original Aurora. No reproductions here. This vintage slotcar looks as though it has been only very very lightly played. The fragile windshield and vent posts are still intact and arrow straight. The unmodified wheelwells have never been shaved or cut. The bumpers and glass remain secure from the factory. No modifications have ever been made to this car. The factory painted accents are still 80% there. The only other blemishes are some minimal chrome bleed through on the very tips of the rear bumper and a few light storage type scratches on the roof. These light box rub or light use marks can be easily rubbed out by the new owner. Both screw posts are perfect. Both screws hold tightly.
