Here is another beautiful and all original cast iron mechanical bank offered at NO reserve. This is the medium (single monkey) variation of the Organ bank. This example has 100% original first paint with no cracks, repairs or touchups. Patented on May 31, 1881 and manufactured in Frankford, PA by Kyser and Rex Co. the bank is reminiscent of a street vendor's organ grinder with a performing monkey. Nice paint with good gold on the organ and bright colors on the monkey's uniform the action is musical and clever: place a coin on the tray and turn the crank. The monkey drops the coin into the organ while tipping his hat in thanks as the internal bells chime. It works perfectly and also retains in rectangular coin trap.
