These vintage Altec 820's are very hard to find. These are not a matched pair since t was no stereo when these were made. The darker speaker is a 1951 with 2 15" 803A woofers,1 808H horn with 802B driver, and 1 N 800D dividing network. The lighter colored speaker is about 1957 vintage with 2 15" 803B Woofers, 1 811 horn with 802D driver, and 1 N 800D dividing network. These are very large and heavy-47"H X 43" W X 29" D. and weigh 225 lbs. each. These have been my main system speakers for the last 10 years and I'm only selling due to downsizing to a smaller home since my retirement. I sold my Avantgarde Trios because these sound better, at least to my ears. They play flawlessly with very little power. 30 watts will make the walls shake.T are some chips and dings as you might imagine , since these are over 50 years old, but the sound is unbeatable. Crating and shipping must be arranged by buyer but I will do all I can to help and I have a very reliable shipper available who ships worldwide. (IMPORTANT - If you have low a feedback score (<10) or any negative feedback, or choose to use 'Private Feedback', please email me with your address and phone number before placing bids. I reserve the right not to ship to overseas bidders with poor feedback who 'snipe' at the end of the auction unless I have agreed to accept the bid beforehand. read more
