ALVIN EDWARD VII pat. STERLING SILVER SLOTTED SERVER Presented is a pierced or slotted sterling silver serving spoon made by Alvin Silver Company. The spoon could be used as a pea spoon or cracker spoon or a large berry spoon. The spoon is in the Edward VII pattern which was first produced in 1899. The spoon is marked on the reverse with the maker's mark for Alvin Silver Company, the word sterling, and a mark for the retailer, Black, Starr and Frost. The spoon is in excellent condition. It is possible that t has been a monogram removal on the tip of the handle. Otherwise, t are no problems. T are no dents, no breaks, no repairs, and no monograms. The spoon is 8 3/8 inches long. The weight is 115.8 grams, 4.1 ounces, or 3.7 troy ounces.
