Original British 11 inch x 17 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly (dated November 13, 1947) for the 1947 Robert Hamer Ealing Studios Drama IT ALWAYS RAINS ON SUNDAY , based on the novel by Arthur la Bern and starring Googie Withers, John McCallum, Edward Chapman, Susan Shaw, Patricia Plunkett, Jack Warner, Nigel Stock, Sidney Tafler, Jimmy Hanley, Alfie Bass, John Slater and John Carol.Ad art by James Boswell . The trade advert is in very good condition with one vertical fold. Trade advertisements are colourful posters aimed at cinema managers, which were either slipped in, or part of, the weekly film trade journals which were available to them by subscription but were not sold to the general public. Most were designed to be pulled out, and some were attached by staples. Most have the date in tiny letters in one of the top corners. The Rare Film Posters digital ‘watermark’ does not appear on the actual advert.
