This tiny Floral Implosion Peewee marble by the renowned torchworker Mike Warren measures just under 1/2" in diameter. Inside a colorless transparent boro glass sphere, a single stylized flower in dark violet, cornflower blue and spring green, with stem and leaves in a similar color of green, rises from the south pole to just above the equator. A number of glass artists have told me that miniatures are much more difficult to make than their larger counterparts, and taking a close look at this small work of art, I can understand why. Mike's positioning of the flower at the center of the sphere is a testament to the precision of his workmanship, and the overall construction is remarkable. This rare and beautiful marble is in gem mint condition, and it's signed in titanium pen at the south pole: "MW 09." It would make a superb addition to any contemporary marble collection. Winner pays $2.75 first class postage. Payment is expected within three days of end of auction. No international bidders, please. Thanks for looking!
