Offered in this auction is a gorgeous CGC graded NM+ (9.6) Don Rosa Pedigree copy of Amazing Spider-Man #85 from June 1970 w/ supple OFF-WHITE to WHITE pages. This great issue features a classic John Romita Kingpin cover entitled "The Schemer's Secret", The Scheme revealed as the Kingpin's son (Richard Fisk), Kingpin and Vanessa Fisk appearances, a Stan Lee story, and John Romita, John Buscema, and Jim Mooney art. The front cover exhibits incredibly bold, vibrant colors and remains virtually flawless! The back cover remains supple and white in color as well. This book is a great investment and should only increase in value given the inevitability of a future Spider-Man Hollywood blockbuster. This particular issue is incredibly scarce in high grade - only a single copy has graded higher! That copy is surely tucked away in a private collection so this is probably the best obtainable copy. GPA sales for ultra-high grade 9.6 copies of this issue have ranged from $546 - $1,558 ! This item starts at the 15 cent original cover price to make this a true auction! Good luck bidding!
