Amazing Parcel Gilt Sterling Silver Ethrog / Jewelry Box, JudaicaAn amazing parcel gilt 925 sterling silver (NOT silver plated) ethrog / jewelry container, Judaica. This beautiful oval box is beautifully decorated with two thick bands decorated with foliage engravings over matte, oxidized background centered by a floral bouquet and flanked by two pearl-like decorated bands. The hinged lid is marvelously decorated in the same pattern. The interior of the box is superbly gilded (gold washed). It is set on 4 stylized supports. It has an impressive net silver weight of over 15oz!! This container was originally made as an Etrog box for the Jewish Sukkoth ceremony but it can also be used as a jewelry box or contain anything else.
