Circa 1966...... Printed in NEW YORK....A nice addition to any art collection....

Painter and graphic artist. The work of Anton Pieck contains paintings in oil and watercolour, etchings, woodcarvings, engravings, litho's, travel-drawings and textbook- illustrations. His works are noted for their nostalgic or fairytale-like character and are widely popular, appearing regularly on cards and calendars. Pieck designed the fairytale park Efteling in Kaatsheuvel, which is one of the most important theme parks in Europe. At the age of 11, he won his first prize for an oil painting of a still life. At the age of 17, he obtains his secondary school drawing certificate. From 1920 until 1960 Pieck is a drawing-art-master at the Kennemer Lyceum in Bloemendaal. In 1984 the Anton Pieck Museum in Hattem was opened officially by Princess Margriet.
