I have an Amber "Preamp Two" for sale. I know a service guy who used to be a dealer and I bought this upon his recommendation. He stated that it was known not to have that solid state 'harshness' of many other components from that era. I have had it in storage for quite some time and just hooked it up recently. I have given it over 36 hours run time now, and it has worked great on all line stage inputs. The MM phono stage works, but is quite noisy and will need some work. It could be an easy fix. The phono stage has quite a few settings to easily accommodate MM cartridges, so it may be worth fixing. The preamp is in decent shape given its age. I had replaced a broken toggle switch for the main power when I first got it, and will include at least 1 additional toggle as a back-up, as I was able to find the exact original toggle. The fact that this still operates so well is a testament to the build quality.
