up for bids is another piece of the Powell Estate,Lancaster,PA.This piece of glass is from late 19th early 20th century, the American Brilliant period.Floral design around the bowl, with its scalloped top edge. The compote stands just a tad over 11 inches in height. It is very rare that a piece with this kind of stem is still with us,but it has survived. The stem is hexgonal and is cut on each edge. The base has 16 point starburst. The top measures 8 inches in diameter and is 3 inches in depth.T is a tint little chip on the edge of the base, although one has to search for it.Otherwise, what a great piece of glass. The sound of old glass is an amazing sound, this one sings so to speak.Any further questions feel free to ask,Happy Bidding!!!Please check out my other listings this week, you may see something you like...Thanks for looking.
