Up for auction is an American Brilliant Cut Glass Spoon Tray cut in Ideal Cut Glass Company patented Diamond Poinsettia. It measures 8" by 4". You can see a photo of this on page 40 of Ideal Cut Glass Catalog reprinted by the ACGA. The last photo is an ad by Ideal in Pottery, Glass & Brass Salesman dated 12/1913. This spoon tray is advertised as the Diamond Poinsettia pattern. The advertisement is from LABAC's Cut Glass Advertisements by Rob and Val Smith, book 2, page IDE-1. This tray does have some chips in it. Fo r more than a year, I have been selling American Brilliant Cut Glass which belonged to my mother. A major part of her collection was auctioned by Woody's Auction in December 2012 in St. Louis , Mo. The rest of her collection was left for me to sell. My mother collected American Brilliant Period Cut glass for over 60 years. She was a longtime member of the ACGA. Since I know nothing about ABP Cut glass, I hired an antique person to help with the description and catalog each one. I try my best to note any flaws that I see. Packaging glass has to be done very carefully to insure safe arrival so your shipping costs tend to be more expensive. I ship out within a day of payment.
