Up for auction is this fabulous old AMERICAN DUPLEX electric coffee grinder. This HUGE coffee pot is from the 1920's. It's made of aluminum with a cast iron base. This old gal measures roughly 36" tall. I do not have any way to test it since the cord is not in the best shape. This piece was used commercially, so t is wear commensurate with age. This is a neat collector's item. T aren't too many of these around. THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION. I do not have the catch-cup. Many of the catch cups were destroyed or lost when these mills were removed from the establishments. This piece is very heavy; roughly 90 lbs. Though I'd prefer pick up...I can ship. Shipping will be through UPS, possibly Forward Air. Shipping will probably be in the neighborhood of $100-$150 simply because of the weight. Don't let this fine mill slip through your hands. They don't come around very often. Insurance will be included in the S/H.Someone asked about what appears to be lines/marks inside the hopper. That is mesh that was built into the hopper when it was manufactured - very neat. As coffee beans were poured into the hopper, they passed through the mesh to be ground.
