The sale is for this antique tile. It is a dust -pressed tile measuring a little more than 4 1/4 inches square. It was most likely designed by the noted ceramicist Herman Mueller and was made by the American Encaustic Tiling Co . to commemorate the dedication of its new factory in Zanesville , Ohio on April 19, 1892. It is in very good condition while noting that the lower left and upper right hand corners are very slighty "rubbed". This tile is featured in the book called “American Art Tile” by Norman Karlson (what I consider a bible of tile collecting).
