You are bidding on a lot of two American Flyer Santa Fe train set pieces, numbered 470 and 473. Overall, both pieces are in very nice shape for their age. The 470 unit is rust free, and from what I can see everything seems to be okay internally. The front end of the chassis is loose from the shell, from what I can tell there is a screw of some sort missing. One of the screws is still attached to the metal underside of the lighting piece. Externally, the paint is in good shape, no major scratches or anything. Several of the decals will have to be replaced as you can see in the pictures. The rear ladder on the right hand side of the train is missing, the black whistle/horn piece on the top of the train is missing a horn. The 473 unit is in fantastic condition. Once again, this unit is rust free. Everything is firmly attached underneath the train and the wheels are in great shape. All decals and paint are nice and bright, and all the logos are near perfect. Both the black plastic pieces on top are in great shape as well. Overall, these two are in great shape and would make a great addition to any collection. I am unable to test these pieces, but based on their condition I don't see why it wouldn't run with a little tinkering.
