For sale is an American Flyer 481 Silver Flash ALCO A Unit diesel. Produced by Gilbert only in 1956. Has the "Electronic Horn" and Diesel Roar. Unit does run and you can watch and listen to it by following the link to a short video I posted on YouTube. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/Z2KU2cCo7UcThe original speaker was burnt out and has been replaced by a modern equivalent using the original mounting hardware. Sometimes the reverse unit "misbehaves" a bit like they all do but usually works OK. The diesel roar works and sounds forth loudly. Some light playwear. Please review the photos closely since they are part of the description. Use the photos to make your own assessment of condition before bidding. The 481 is being sold "as-is".
