Here for your consideration is a gorgeous prewar American Flyer 521 heavyweight passenger / baggage combo car in vibrant green livery. This is an O gauge car in 3/16 scale manufactured during the Gilbert era right before production stopped for WWII. This late prewar "S on O" line of model trains was the predecessor of the hugely popular postwar American Flyer S scale trains, and were meant to provide a more realistic, scale appearance compared to Lionel. The 521 combo car, and its companion 524 pullman passenger car, were the premium, heavyweight, diecast, 6-wheel truck passenger cars of the 3/16 line. This 521 is the nicest I have seen. Its paint is nearly flawless and it appears to have seen very little runtime. Car is about 13.5 inches long, coupler to coupler. Trucks and undercarriage are very clean throughout and the light works (see last photo). Only issue I see is that the two baggage doors are missing. Otherwise, a very clean car in almost like new condition, in my estimation. No box. Please examine the photos carefully and let me know if you have any questions or would like additional photos.Shipping : I'm offering flat rate shipping to keep costs reasonable. Will ship within two days of receiving payment, possibly sooner. Car will be well packed and shipped in sturdy box. I only ship to verified eBay address. Thanks very much read more
