I will be thinning out my American Flyer collection a little by little over the next few months. Most of what I have is boxed and in E condition or better. This the American Flyer 979 Deluxe Action Caboose with the original knuckle coupler. I believe the year it was made was 1957, because it came with the box marked 25035.Also included is the original box. This item is quite rare, in and of itself. It looks to be complete, but the two inner flaps on one end are torn and missing. There is some tiny marks on one side that I can find. I would attribute them to being box rubs. It is a bit dusty. It has not had much track time, as you can see in the photos. Being not a complete expert, I graded it a C8, Like New. If you have any questions, send me a note and I will respond right away.
