American Flyer 5 Piece Lot O Scale With The Rocket See pics and email any questions. Thanks for looking and Super Train Closeout!!! Liquidating a very LARGE estate of BEMO, Athearn, Herpa, LGB, Rocco, Lima, Lilliput, Rivarossi, and other Manufacturer Train Pieces. Most pieces appear to be near new, new, & mint condition in the original boxes, many with original paperwork! Other less grade items described as such. Due to the lack of history on these items and the inability for this seller to test them, all items are being sold as is.Up for auction today is an American Flyer 5 Piece Lot O Scale With The Rocket.In going through this estate, we are finding several interesting pieces that we are attempting to group together. In this lot we find 4 American Flyer pieces. Three have identical wheel sizes with one slightly larger.This lot consists of a large green and silver piece marked American Flyer Lines ROCKET, 475. This piece has the slightly larger wheel track size. We are not collectors and are guessing here on the scale, but the width of the wheel opening measures approx 3/4" wide, perhaps a hair less. It is very hard to measure this distance so these measurements are approximate.The body has paint wear on both sides, with the left side missing most of the paint near the front of the cab as can be seen in the pics. The wheels consist of two 4-wheel trucks and underside appear to be in good condition with no other markings.Also included is a gray flat car with a red generator looking piece in the middle and some sort of half-ring on one end. This piece reads American Flyer, AC Gilbert, PA-10358, on the bottom. The track wheel width on this piece measures approx 5/8" maybe 11/16"? in width. Again, these are very hard to read. This piece has two 6-wheel trucks and is in very good condition. Also included are what appear to be a matching Loco and tender. The locomotive is very heavy and appears to be in good condition with some minor paint loss. The bottom features two 4-wheel trucks with the drive wheel distance measuring slightly wider than the steering wheels. Again, these would be similar to the other two pieces. The matching tender reads American Flyer and Reading Lines. On the bottom of this piece is some kind of switch that moves from side to side, though not very easily. Some paint loss here as well as can be seen in the pics. JUST ADDED ANOTHER PIECE TO THIS LOT BRINGING IT TO 5 TOTAL PIECES. This last piece is a Gulf Tanker car in good condition paint loss around the chassis and scratches on the gray tanker body. Both sides read GULF in bright orange and blue. Similar wheel sizes as the others.So here you are, 5 American Flyer pieces of what could be matching scale slightly different. Our guess is that the collector would know the difference.
