AMERICAN FLYER PREWAR O GA 1206 SEATTLE & 1207 CHICAGO OBSERVATION CARS 1925 ERAIntroduced in the 1925 catalog, the 6-1/2 inch 1206 & 1207 passenger cars were the first such cars equipped with individual car lighting. Lithographed ORANGE and MAROON car bodies with BLACK frames and roofs were marked 1206 SEATTLE 1206 (coach) and 1207 CHICAGO 1207 for the observation. The 1207 CHICAGO car was the first American Flyer passenger car produced with an observation platform. Both cars have Type-3 trucks with 7/8” wheels, produced 1925-27 only with ‘slide-lock’ couplers. Cars are in very good+ condition with the ‘new’ electrical pickup rollers and brass clips. The observation car has the appropriate FLYER LIMITED placard on the observation railing.
