You are bidding on a used American Flyer talking Mystic Station (755 ?) with the record. This was my late father-in-law’s. I have no way of testing it. He was a tinkerer. He did not re-paint the “Mystic” signs on two eaves and the word “Mystic” on one sign is more faded than the other, He did repaint everything else. He hand painted the roof green, the chimney deep, glossy red, the exterior walls yellow and the base gray. There is a scratch across the yellow paint a couple inches long. In places the yellow paint ran. At one of those places the drip ran down over the brown portions of the wall. All portions of the brown on the exterior walls are checked and look weathered. In the cracks in the brown paint you can see yellow beneath it. The plastic windows are in place and not ripped, but portions need to be re-glued. The two sliding doors function and the one hinged door opens to the inside. There’s a mass of wires that would make sense to you, but not me, and a button that reads “American Flyer Control Button.” He tinkered and soldered on the original needle/microphone and appears to have purchased a replacement for it. The record is in place. I have no idea if it is scratched. He tinkered with the turntable. I think, but I don't know how it looked originally. I am listing 15 +/- other items that belonged to my father-in-law. Please read more
