in the beautiful wedgwood blue is the commerative plate that they put out for the U.S. Bicentennial in 1976. It depicts the American eagle on the front with the state shields of the original 13 colonies, and 13 stars. In gold writing it says 'American Independence Bicentennial 1776-1976'. The back lists the original signers of the Declaration of Independence and their respective States. It has the Wedgwood seal and Made in England and says 'Specially designed by Wedgwood to celebrate 200 years of American Independence and in tribute to the men and events that gave birth to a new nation in 1776'. The plate measures 8 1/4" in diameter. T were not very many of these great commerative collectibles produced. Thanks for looking!
